Puran Poli-
Ingredients
1.1 cup Flour
2.¼ tsp of Turmeric powder
3.Salt to taste
4.2-3 tsp of Ghee
5.Water
6.6 tbsp oil
7.Oil/ghee for frying
8.1½ cup of Jaggery
9.1¼ cup Bengal gram Dal
10. ¼ tsp of Cardamom Powder
Method
Make a smooth dough by blending ghee, flour and water. Add 2-3 tsp of oil and knead well and leave aside for several minutes. Cook the dal in a cooker till one whistle. Drain rest of the water and make a paste along with jaggery and cardamom powder. It should be mixed well to form a paste. Now make small balls of the dough made earlier and fill in the mixture of dal, jaggery and cardamom powder. Now carefully roll them out so that the mixture does not come out. Now fry them on a flat tava and serve hot.

Ingredients
1.2 Fresh grated Coconut
2.3 cups of Milk
3.½ cup of cream
4.½ tsp of saffron mixed in heated 1 tsp of milk
5.400 gms sugar
6.½ tsp of Cardamom powder
Method
Add cream, milk and grated coconut in a preheated pan. Occasionally simmer the heat and stir the mixture till it becomes really thick and is not sticking to the pan. Now add cardamom powder and the mixture of saffron and milk to it. Stir well. Then, pour it into a greased flat mouthed container. Allow it to cool. As it solidifies, cut into desired shape.
